Role of Social and Professional network in Recruitment Business

Lets take a look at the role which Social or professional play\may paly in the recruitment business. I am putting my views here so please feel free to put your comments and views on this post.

Social Network – Network to get in touch with your friends and acquaintances.

Professional Network – Network to get in touch with people from similar profession.

You can use Social and Professional network websites for recruitment business too and both helps.

Social networking sites helps you in getting in touch with your old friends, mates, partners which helps in having good number of direct contacts as well as it could help you towards introduction to 3rd level of people\business contacts. The contacts you get here could be of much use as they mostly would be in contact with your friends and hence it becomes easy to start a conversion with due reference. Some examples are facebook, orkut, myspace etc.

Professional network helps in getting in touch with people in similar profession, target audience or customers and increasing business contacts. This works by putting you directly in the market and then you have to find ways by being among client and competitors. This helps you in establishing a brand too among the competitors by getting good traffic to your page, getting more contracts and contacts.Some examples are linkedin, konnects, siliconindia etc.

The base line about Recruitment business is contacts which helps you in getting contracts and also “right” fit for an opening.
